  Bandsaw technology for contour cutting
3 examples of different performances and configurations:

All 3 bandsaws for contour cuttings made by Mössner are CNC controlled C-frame saws mounted to the X-axis. The C-axis rotates around the saw cutting line. In addition the work piece can be moved into position with the Y-axis allowing the saw to cut contours from plate and ingot. The coordinate transformation and necessary calculations for the coordinates (X,Y,C) are done by the CNC controller leaving the operator a simple XY-coordinate programming platform. Additional optional equipment is available, like fully automatic material infeed, scrap and chip evacuation, chip briquetting, part removal, sound enclosure.

    Installation with bandsaw for contour cutting   Typical process:
  • The aluminum plate is adjusted and clamped on the clamping table.
  • The plate is driven to cutting position and clamped by down-holders.
  • The CNC-control coordinates X-axis, Y-axis and servoaxis of the saw blade guidance to cut out the programmed contour.
  • The cut out parts and the scrap are transported out of the machine by a conveyor belt.
